Polyamide is a synthetic fibre generated through polymerisation or polycondensation via amide-groups. The speciality of a polyamide fibre is its tensile strength and scrub resistance. Therefore it can easily be processed and is still unmatched and insensitive. The polyamide fibre is skin-friendly and well stainable and indispensable for the textile sector. It can easily be looked after and washed, dries quickly and is antistatic. Polyamid 6,6 = Nylon is used for stockings, underwear and outer clothing.
